The weirdest thing happened to me:

The other night I went out to eat at this sushi/chinese restaurant with my dad.  Before I started working out and eating better my dad and I used to go there all the time, so I haven’t been there in about 3 months.  When I went in there the other night the first thing the owner said to me was “You lose lots of weight!!”

I couldn’t believe that a stranger I used to see only once or twice a month had noticed my weight loss! I guess on the days that I don’t notice my progress other people still do. Definitely a nice pick-me-up.

Losing weight is such a strange process.

First of all, none of my clothes fit anymore! Not saying this is a bad thing, but can become very frustrating when I go to where something that I’ve recently bought and it no longer fits!

Also, I’ve found myself constantly staring at my body.  Not necessarily in a conceited way, either.  Every time I see a mirror, I look at myself.  The weird part about it is that when I look at myself, about half the time I see a more fit, skinnier and healthier individual, but the other half of the time I see a person even bigger than before.

I just need to keep reminding myself that all the work and effort I am putting in really IS paying off.  I mean just look at my progress pictures!

30DS seriously kicks my ass.

I always hate getting myself to do it but once I start I get really into it.

Breakfast this morning:
- 1 cup Cheerios w/ 2% milk
- Banana
- Iced Chai w 2% milk

Gonna do today’s 30DS then go to my grandparents house and help my grandma with a few things.  Hopefully I’ll be able to hang out with my friends later.

Big Things

Yesterday was the first official day that I noticed changes in my body and myself.  I just remember being at work and all of a sudden I couldn’t stop looking at my legs and my arms!  Still a work in progress but it feels really good to be able to see what you’re working towards starting to pay off.

Just got back from the gym.

Ran two miles and balled out on the free weights/crunches/sit-ups.

Breakfast was a (free) bagel from the gym, some Muscle Milk Light, and a yogurt I’m saving for a snack in a bit.

Feeling dead right now but I still have to study.

Woke up at 5:00 this morning.

Was at the gym by 6, done by 7.  Of course when I went back to my dorm to shower there wasn’t any hot water.  Love paying $40,000 for cold water and no internet!

Finals exams this week as well, which if i haven’t previously mentioned, fucking suck.

Literally so stressed out! The gym is the only thing keeping me the slightest bit sane.

Off to the library now to study for my exam at 1:30.

Morning workouts are fucking awesome.

Seriously, do it. Now. Got up at 6:30 today (surprisingly not hard) and got my ass to the gym.  Had an amazing workout too. Two 8 minute miles on the treadmill, 5 minute incline on 8 at 4 mph, and a 10 minute 3.5 mph cooldown.  Then did some weights (chest flies, lateral raises, etc. Crunches, pushups, planks, boom. done.

Eating oatmeal and lowfat chocolate milk.  Gonna go shower and get my ass to Club Lib and try to study for finals.
